David is the founder/owner of anglersafloat.co.uk an information site with a popular forum. He’s been kayak fishing since 2003 and fishing since a young lad, spending most of his summer holidays in Sussex on his aunty's farm fishing their private twenty acre lake.
If he’s not fishing, he’s thinking of fishing, or planning for the next tournament. Kayak fishing has taken David all over the world. His first major tournament was in 2010, the Jacksonville Classic, Florida, competing with 450 other anglers. The week after the event he spent most of his time surrounded by alligators whilst hunting for the elusive Red Fish! More recently he’s fished in two World Championships, the first in 2012, fishing for large mouth bass in Texas. In 2013 it was bream fishing in Australia. In 2014 David competed in the World Predator Classic in Holland and the Hobie Fishing Euro’s in Holland. For 2015 David is off to Lacanau in France for the Hobie Euro’s and if he qualifies, off to China to compete in the Worlds.
David also organises the Swanage Classic Kayak Fishing Tournament here in the UK and competes in many of the UK tournaments both on Fresh and Saltwater.
