Shilpika (Shilps) is an India-born, global living, world record-breaking adventurer for purpose, having swapped her corporate life for the pursuit of ‘adventurous activism#.
In 2017, she became the first person to SUP the river Ganges in India, Source-to-sea. This 101 day, 3000 km world record-breaking journey for clean water wasn’t the first expedition for Shilps; She is also the first woman to stand up paddle Ireland’s river Shannon, the longest river in the British Isles, source to sea. Most recently she undertook the world’s first stand up paddle of the technically-dead river Yamuna, right next to the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.
An internationally recognised speaker & TV personality, Shilpika’s discovery channel series reached over 100 million people in India each day. She is a passionate advocate of 'doing good better', using ‘business’ to solve environmental challenges and the empowerment of women. She is also the co-founder of the Neela (blue) foundation, a global platform that works to promote the adoption of recycled polyester textiles in fashion.
