How we use your information

We’ll never ask you for personal information unless we really, really need it. For example, if you’re interested in receiving our newsletter, or info about Palm paddling stuff, we’ll need your email address. We won’t bombard you with emails, and we’ll never give your details to third parties, so rest assured paddler, your inbox is safe with us.

Like we said, no personal details go to third parties. And the only piece of information we regularly collect is simple data that doesn’t identify you as a person, just a statistic (cookies). We use this data to get a better idea of how the Palm website is used, which in turn helps us make your Palm experience a better one. Cookies also help make the whole website run smoothly.

We love cookies

Most websites you visit use cookies to help your whole browsing experience run that little bit smoother. Cookies do a bunch of different jobs, like storing your preferences, loading pages quicker, and generally greasing the wheels of the entire site. That’s why we love them.

When is a cookie not a cookie?

When it’s a text file. Essentially, a cookie is a simple text file that is stored on your computer or mobile device by a website’s server – the website can then retrieve the cookie and read its contents. It will contain some anonymous information such as a unique identifier, the site name, and some digits and numbers. These cookies allow a website to remember things like your preferences or what’s in your shopping basket.

Thanks, but no thanks

Cookies are harmless and they make your browsing experience a better one, but allowing them to be stored on your computer is entirely your choice. You can easily disable the cookie function in your browser settings.
