Alaska, British Columbia, Wales, Greenland, Baja California, Patagonia, New Zealand …

Where should everybody go paddling once?

In Disko Bay, west coast of Greenland, among icebergs, humpback whales and under the midnight sun.

What else do you like to do when you’re not out paddling?

Trail running and hanging out with friends and my girlfriend.

What’s your best advice for other paddlers?

Don’t forget to train for rescues in rough conditions sometimes!

What are your favourite bits of kit?

In spring and autumn, the Palm NeoFlex longsleeve top; in summer, a Palm sun-stopping Rash Guard; and in winter an Atom Dry Suit. Of course, I enjoy using my Kaikoura PFD and the Gradient shoes all year-round!

Corsica, Sardinia, Brittany, Scotland, Brasil, Australia, Namíbia, Galapagos, California, South Georgia …

Describe your perfect day on the water?

Kayaking in Cap de Creus Natural Park (Costa Brava) among unique rock formations, empty spaces, and sunset on the horizon.

What are you most looking forward to in 2018?

To screen my film “Solo in Papua” in many Outdoor Film Festivals around Europe!
