At Palm headquarters, our dedicated team offers prototyping, testing, repairs and servicing of all Palm gear. If you have a problem with any of our products, please contact customer services, and we’ll do our best to help.

 

Palm paddling gear is designed for use in a variety of conditions, but barbed wire fences, sharp rocks, and other hazards can all take their toll. If your Palm gear needs new seals or socks, has been torn, punctured, heavily worn, or otherwise damaged, then we offer an excellent in-house repair service and can easily fix most garments for a reasonable cost.

If you need a repair, then get in touch and send your gear to us (clean and dry) with a completed returns form. Standard prices are as indicated on the returns form, but if it will cost any more then we’ll let you know how much before we carry out the work.

If your Palm gear has developed a defect which is not due to misuse, overuse, or neglect, then we’ll take a look, and will repair or replace it at our discretion. Our 24 month warranty covers any failings in workmanship or materials (workmanship means stitching, seams, taping, etc. and materials means fabric and components).

Items should be returned to the shop that you bought them from, along with your proof of purchase. Our warranty only covers the product’s first owner. In some circumstances it may be difficult to return to the point of purchase, in which case you should post the item directly to us (clean and dry) with a completed returns form.

We will not deal with wet/muddy/dirty kit. If it arrives in any condition other than clean and dry, then we will post it right back to you, and charge you for the inconvenience.

If your gear is more than two years old then it falls outside our standard warranty. However, we will still take a look and get back to you. If it has worn out due to fair wear and tear, then we offer a great repair service at a reasonable cost. We will let you know the cost before we carry out any repairs.

Latex wrists

We'll factory replace your latex wrist seals. Professional removal of the old seal with the new seal stitched and taped in place with a QC check.

Waterproof socks

Water test

We'll check over your whole garment and carry out an inflation water test. If your garment is under warranty, we'll test it free of charge (proof of purchase required).

The small print

Here are the warranties for each of the brands we supply. These guarantees do not affect your statutory rights.

Palm Equipment warranty

Palm Equipment International Ltd products are guaranteed for twenty-four months from the date of consumer purchase. This guarantee is only valid to the original retail purchaser (consumer) against defects in material and workmanship. If a product is found to be defective during the first twenty-four (24) months of use due to a manufacturing failure, Palm Equipment International Ltd will repair or replace at our option any defective part.

The product may be sent directly to Palm Equipment or to your represented distributor or retailer (carriage/freight prepaid). For warranty claims, you must enclose the original invoice or receipt number and date of purchase, along with your name, address and a daytime contact telephone number or email address.

Products outside of the warranty can be repaired (please see repairs list). Each garment is assessed individually and owners are advised on costs before repairs are undertaken.

This guarantee does not cover normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from abuse, alteration or unauthorised repair. Due to the vulnerability of latex seals and fabric socks, no guarantee can be given on these once the garment has been worn. Clothing must be clean and dry before being sent back for warranty and repair work. Wet or dirty products will not be repaired and will be returned to sender. Please allow up to twenty one (21) working days for items to be returned.

Dagger Kayaks warranty

For the original retail purchaser (Consumer), Islander Kayaks provide a three (3) year warranty from the date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects.

Islander Kayaks warranty

For the original retail purchaser (Consumer), Islander Kayaks provide a three (3) year warranty from the date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects.

Wilderness Systems warranty

For the original retail purchaser (Consumer), Islander Kayaks provide a three (3) year warranty from the date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects.

Mad River Canoe warranty

For the original retail purchaser (Consumer), Islander Kayaks provide a three (3) year warranty from the date of purchase against material or manufacturing defects.

Limitations and exclusions: Dagger / Islander / Wilderness Systems / Mad River Canoe

  • Normal wear and tear and ageing of product.
  • Kayaks damaged by extreme weather or environmental conditions.
  • Kayaks damaged while in possession of a freight carrier, dealer or consumer.
  • Kayaks damaged by accident, neglect, improper use or handling.
  • Kayaks that have been towed by power or sail boats.
  • Kayaks designated as prototypes.
  • Kayaks sold as “demos” or in “as is” condition.
  • Kayaks determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity which is customary for the product.
  • Kayaks that have been structurally or dimensionally altered or modified.
  • Kayaks used for commercial or rental purposes.

Warranty and repair work – please allow up to twenty one (21) days (in some cases this may be extended).

Please return products to Dagger Europe/Wilderness Systems/Islander/Mad River Canoe (carriage paid) and enclose the original invoice, boat serial number, date of purchase, your name, address and daytime telephone number or e-mail address.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
